I'd argue that it is akin to fraud, as the bets are made with certain assumptions one of them not being that the other betting party can directly influence the game

They lost the 2018 playoff too. I think they drew someone crap like Bulgaria or something and also drew with Switzerland to end up in the playoff.

The team as they have it right now just isn't quite working.

I just think all momentum was lost when O’Neill left, before the playoffs for Euro 2020.

Baraclough set the team back years. Much better showing last night, some reasons to be upbeat I reckon.

I feel like we played ok until we got to the final third, and then the lack of quality really hurt. Was a bit like watching Everton at times this season.

Finland at home is probably a game you can't afford to lose if you want to be in contention for qualifying come November.

Lacking in quality, it has to be said but I thought by large you were the better team.

There was talk pre qualifying of it being a modestly optimistic campaign ahead. Whilst Finland, Slovenia aren’t necessarily good sides, they’re very compact and grind so many results out.

Hopefully you can push on and make a run, but yeah, in a tight group, you can’t be affording to lose any of your home games. Hammer blow.
