By the way, the best ever happen to Portugal in that WC was Ronaldo's injury. His contribute to the move that ended in the only goal was a mere two touches on the ball as he couldn't run because of his injury. Otherwise he woud start trying to dribble everybody and eventually lose the ball as it happened often.

Nuno Gomes always scores when it matters in the national side. Postiga has that similar attribute. And there is Hugo Almeida.

Not world class strikers, but all of them can score.
