It's taken some time but at last some proper reporting as in not carefully selected footage of 20 something males...
However, if this is about protecting our borders what a disgusting pitiful country we have become, all of you voted Brexit voted for this. Racist or not look the other way and evil will prevail.

The cynic in me is thinking they want things to get worse at places like this and trouble is caused so they can shout " Look, at them fighting!!! We were right all along "

Plus, its a nice distraction from thr cost of living crisis

I suspect your right.

"they have shelter, they have meals.... I'm not sure why they're complaining" will be the narrative from those that matter.

When we have only processed 4% of the migrants that entered last year you can see the chaos that is getting caused by the Government owns doing.

We have been offered by France a processing centre on there side but have refused. We have manufactured this and it is getting used as a tool. Tje rhetoric of using words as invasion is just going to cause more bad blood but this is what they want.

It's just a dead cat for them.

We were promised millions for the NHS. Now the NHS is in crisis because of lack of staff. Likewise social care. The reason is Brexit.
Another referendum please and let's hope the little englanders vote with their heads and not their erses.

Very expensive.
Often gets severe storms in winter.
Hot bed of far right politics.
Cities such as Montpellier, Nice and Marseille etc very crowded and there is some problem with crime.
Interesting. I go to Grenoble a bit for work and was always under the impression they had an almost communist local government. Maybe they're an exception (or they're not considered "south")

There's more to the South if France than major cities. (though I'd definitely swerve Marseille, an absolute dump). My work takes me to the 3/4 times a year so it's not something I have plucked out of thin air.

The rise of the far right is a problem throughout Europe.

As for expensive, day to day living won't be more than relative cost of UK life for the next couple of years.

Cheers ;)

Alot, I think, depends on the proportion of citizens from South of the
Med in the population in the South Coast cities.

Property is expensive compared with areas away from the med or the mountains.
Other costs not so different.
I live in France and travel around from time to time.

I'm not really sure why the property wouldn't more expensive close to the med compared to 'other areas' though.

You'd usually expect to pay a premium for being close to the coast pretty much anywhere in the world. It's hardly a revelation you've shared with me there.

As it happens, I'd rather pay a premium and be somewhere attractive than be in the French equivelant of Milton Keynes for the sake of a few quid.

Edit..... We're already off topic. Cheers.
