They fought for the likes of me and you.Their vote is more important than ours.If it wasn't for them.......... we wouldn't have an FFFING VOTE.Show some RESPECT.

That's totally contrary to what they supposedly fought for, though, you can't say that. I agree they should have a vote, but they fought for a democratic society in which each vote is equally important.

How have I disrespected anyone?

I think i make a genuine point, a point that my girlfriends pensioner Mum happens to agree with.
So you have had to ask yer girlfriends Mar ......... !!!!!! Every breath we breath is because of pensioners (or their fathers/mothers).......... so you are saying ....... it shouldn't bother them cos they won't be here that long ? Do you think..... during WW2........ THEY WENT........' SOD IT .... WE'LL BE DEAD BY THEN ....FFFF the future'

This is showing how starkly divided this country is between the areas of the haves and the have nots.

At least 15 million people will vote leave and I don't know a single one of them. That right there highlights the issues we have as a society.

Thanks for your reply mate. I'd rather have Brussels protecting us from the policies of the Tories myself. I'm not sure where you're from but me being from Liverpool and having the Tories in power left to their own devices does not appeal to me in the slightest.

Kirkdale mate. Langtry Road, Liverpool 4. Wife from Bootle.

And it's NOT about protection from the Tories. Milliband screwed us over by bad leadership in the run-up to the last election. He was unfit for purpose, as was Brown before him.

It's about not letting Brussels overturn the ruling of our courts. Or dictate legal matters to us. It's about not letting Brussels dictate laws to us, or them overturning the laws passed by OUR Parliament. THAT is what it is about. Not the Tories.

The signs are very encouraging for us to get out of that corrupt organisation. GOOD!!! OUT!!!

Didnt have to ask her anything, we had a civilised conversation and she agreed with that point. Did many over 87s vote do you think?

Not sure what WWII has to do with, that would only cover a small percentage i'd imagine.

I've not said people shouldn't be allowed to vote and my point was regardless of if they agree with me or not?
Fair point you did mention abstain, my mistake. However I still disagree with the concept of certain demographics not voting just because it "doesn't affect them as much". Older people still live in the country and will want their input heard just as much as anyone else. Not to mention pensioners will also have families with kids, grandkids, neices/nephews, who will affect their decision as well. It still matters

All fair points mate, thanks for discussing it rationally.
