The issue then is still the ratchet clause, and following future EU legislation......
They will have to fudge that as well. It’s taken 4 1/2 years to get where we are negotiating the present. I agree that there will be some sort of deal. Both sides will be arguing about what the deal means for years afterwards I suspect.

I can imagine many ordinary workers being depressed that they can no longer study or roam around Europe for months on end before returning to their chateau ...... it’s just a playground for the rich isn’t it......

Many ordinary Brits retire in the EU.

It will also be more difficult and expensive to holiday there, which is also a normal activity for the ordinary Brit.

We will also be a poorer country, with higher unemployment and less opportunity for the ordinary Brit.

Not sure if this has been posted but one of the ways you can help make No Deal Brexit a success is... buy a second home!

I saw that the other day. Also, don’t go on holiday to the EU, instead holiday in the UK. And drink English wine, instead of that terrible foreign muck.

This Brexit lark sounds great.

Customs fees going up? Usually 8 quid per package for small-fry like me. Obviously it would now apply to goods from the EU, but the impression I get, is it's going to be rather random.

Unknown customs fees + tariffs + far more expensive shipping. If one can get someone to ship here and actually get it into the country.

How is this additional revenue/taxation being redistributed?

if I didn't know better, one might think that our government is creating a captive market.

Hello North Korea FFS.

Hello North Korea FFS.

They've certainly shown themselves to be more corrupt.
