That is a ECJ ruling, which in the context of the EU, is actually more relevant. The ECHR being a different legal system.

Not an issue I've come across here... But we don't secularism as seriously as the French so not sure (see how effortlessly I slipped "we" in there? Scary)

Austria and France, Denmark I'm aware of..it could well be 6 I suppose.

On a side note re: Austrians. Yes they are an interesting people...based on my experience.

Edit: @Joey66 your Google skills are correct 6 countries do 'ban the burka'. There are currently 6 nations in Europe that have banned the burqa, Austria, Denmark, France, Belgium, Latvia, and Bulgaria.

Interesting from the EU. Basically saying an extension will happen but assuming it wants to see how the election decision plays out in parliament before giving a length.

It all doesn't matter as realistically they delay as long as necessary.

They'll probably give two dates again like they did with May.
