I didn't notice at the time because I was laughing so much, but the transcript of Trump's press conference today did contain one interesting bit that perhaps needs more questions asking about it domestically (emphasis added):

The U.K. and the U.S., as you probably have been seeing and hearing, we're agreeing to go forward and preserve our trade agreement. You know all of the situation with respect to Brexit, and the complexity and the problems. But we have a very good trading relationship with U.K. and that's just been strengthened further.

So with the U.K., we're continuing our trade and we are going to actually be increasing it very substantially as time goes by. We expect that the U.K. will be very, very substantially increased as it relates to trade with the United States. The relationship there also is very good.

Now admittedly he was talking utter nonsense throughout that speech and the press conference, but that would suggest we might have signed up to something already - but May hasn't announced it. One can only imagine what that means.....

Or he will lose work as a lawyer..?
He's keeping some nice company -
Oh well if a concentration camp apologist has 'slammed' it then it must be an appalling act on Grieves part.

Oh and nicely ignoring the fact about Government Impact assessments I notice.

Or trying to stop Brexit more like - ........ If Remain was in demand the Lib Dems would have a high poll rating - or the Greens etc etc .......
The last GE the two main parties were elected on a manifesto of promising Brexit -80% of the vote......
TBH I have gone past caring on democrocy......
As a socialist I cannot vote for Corbyn and the polls agree with that point....... so like the last GE I won't vote.....
The standard of behavior yesterday - on all counts of all MPs reminded me of Children in the playground.....

While the Lib Dems and Greens are the two parties officially endorsing remain, it's pretty obvious that a sizeable proportion of Labour and a not insignificant number of Tories' also support the position.

Part of the problem of promising Brexit is that people were promised something that is either not possible or not accepted by the other party in the negotiations.

I approach you and say: 'you're not happy with your current car are you @Joey66? it's not as good as other cars around, there are much better ways to travel, you're getting left behind with this car'

'no I'm not Jebus' you say 'you're right, I do need something new'

So I tell you 'don't worry you don't have to drive that car, you can have something different, take control of your situation and think of all the possibilities there are for you'. I promise and suggest I could get you a new Ferrari for £10000 (you need a new car and they need to sell cars, and you might go and buy one from somewhere else, so realistically in that negotiation you are in the more powerful position) you think 'that's a great deal' and hand your cash over, but once I've got your money I then tell you that a Ferrari is not an option and the dealership is 'full of arrogant, self interested bloody difficult people' but it was never about the Ferrari 'you chose the opportunity to take control of your own travel, it's just the options are a bike with one wheel, a 20 year old Micra or you walk.

You can't change your mind though, because you made the decision to hand over the money - not because you wanted the Ferrari, but because you decided to take back control of your own travel.

They supplied technical assistance to get launchers working, against government policy. That’s just a matter of fact.....

Is that a yes, they did supply Exocets during the Falklands conflict, or no they did not supply Exocets during the conflict, as this is what I asked, as a matter of fact. Yes or no, and no squirming. Answer the question.

@peteblue, I'm off to the football now. Can you respond when you are ready please? I'll be back later this afternoon...
