Exactly.

My gut instinct tells me that being in a European Union of sorts is good for Britain but that the current EU is a bit crap. Which is why I'm not sure how to vote.

One of my biggest issues is on the back of the last referendum, which was on remaining in the Common Market, however, without mandate successive British governments signed up to beyond that into the current EU. This will happen again as no one has a clue about the intentions, aims and goals of the current system.

Who directs it ? Who decides to use it and for what purpose ? If Argentina invaded the Falklands again, would the EU allow it to be used ?.....the UK would effectively hand over it's capability to Brussels to do as it pleased and not for the benefit of the UK.......
Personally, the EU Army is a pipe-dream. Why? Firstly, it's almost unthinkable that the French would devolve their military authority to others.

Although there's talk of interest from Germany, again I can see it unlikely that they'd be happy to give others authority over the Bundeswehr.

Then there's the whole aspect of the concept of allegiance and this ever been removed; that's before considering strong opposition from NATO.

An EU army is a massively dumb idea

What I would say is that the doomsday scenarios put forward by both sides are absolute BS.

The country would not come to ruin if we left but equally leaving would not magically remove all our problems. If politicians were a little more honest it might help us.

The French believe that they will control it......the Germans will be happy to let them think so........
