Don’t think we’re too far off France-yellow-jacket-esque protests myself
Can't see it myself. Doubt it would go that far. The truth is that the overwhelming majority of people on either side of the debate don't care enough about Brexit to casue mass mobilisation like we're seeing in France.

A handful of protests and counter protests for both sides with the odd clash of violence from a tiny number of morons will be as far as it'll go imo.

More wishful thinking if anything.

And it’s not just brexit; it’s general incompetence of this government, austerity, etc.

We should be lobbing patio furniture at that Downing St. cat

Bruce she made a Horlicks of it all 2 years and only one deal to consider.......
if I go to buy a car i expect to see a showroom not one car take it or leave it.........

You want a menu of options Joe?

You call what she's doing "stepping up"? Your hatred of all things leave has blinded you Bruce. You know full well that any senior leave Tory would of lost a leadership contest againt her and even now would due to the strong remain numbers in the party. She was the compromise candidate who only got the nod because both sides wanted to keep the party together. Tories putting party over country again, quelle surprise!

Hatred is a bit strong tbh, but the majority of Tories voted to leave, hence why there has been so much bluster from cabinet members about this , that and the other. Johnson, Gove et al all had the opportunity to stand for leadership after Cameron stepped down, but they all bottled it, leaving Leadsom as the only leave campaigner really standing. They were then given key cabinet positions in this, and messed that up as well. They must be made of teflon.

So postponing the vote doesn't change the terms whatsoever?

So what's the point? If it is to force more support then essentially the deal is not only bad for the country but being passed in false pretences which is even worse.

What's more damaging for this country, postponing the procedure and essentially having a second go at it or forcing something through despite the lack of support leaving us in a position that is not only bad but one the general parliament don't agree with either
