The EU are trying that one conquer to divide.........

This is true but it is perfectly valid position. People saying why there should there be a border but it will be no different than the EU countries that border Ukraine. Of course there has to be checks if we are not in the customs union else it is open to abuse. You cannot blame the EU for a situation of our own making.

My apologies Joe, I reasoned that sod was a sufficiently light rebuke (as it doesn't even trigger the swear filter on here), but I shall endeavour to use more decorum in future.

it seems easy for the Left to get riled up, we all know you mean well and you think things through, but you mentioned my beef with polarisation earlier, and your rebuke, however mild, was an example of it. by pushing the debate-opponent away by reducing him to a 'silly sod', we widen the divide between two sides...polarisation.

the only fact we know is that we don't know what the future holds one way or the other, it can't be predicted no matter what biased thinktanks might present as evidence.

that means everyone has a valid opinion, of roughly equal worth, be he Brexiter or Remainer.

@Joey66 had a point: it's in the EU's interests to push the Scotland & Ireland questions, because that sows discord in the Brexit argument. That's what he meant with "conquer to divide" .

Just got back from today’s march. Amazing turn out (750K) with people from every faith, belief and walk of life. United in fear that the government are taking us over a cliff.

That today was real democracy in action, let’s just hope the Government grow a set and put this mess back to the people of the UK to vote on it.

I see there was a leave means leave march today attended by 1200 old farts. Says it all really

On the contrary Joey it was a great day out, mixing with people who are passionate about the future of the United Kingdom and who actually understand the implications of leaving the EU and the damage it will do.

At least we can agree on the hope that the blues win tomorrow.
