The pound lost 1.2% against the Euro today alone. That's what the financial markets thought of May's speech - full of empty threats and lacking in substance. The smart money is on the UK crashing out of the EU next March without a deal which would be a disaster for financial stability.

That would be right, the Euro would be weaker due to the uncertainty too. It harms the EU if we leave esp. on a no deal basis, but on a much smaller scale than it will for us.
