These things will happen if we leave. We haven’t left yet and many businesses are waiting see if we do. The damage will happen over a 5 - 10 year period after we leave.

The only immediate effect was the tanking of the value of sterling. I work in manufacturing and we have had to put 6 price increases through purely on our reduced purchasing power for raw materials.

I work in manufacturing and you are being slightly economical with the truth there. Goods were already going up pre vote from the EU. The day after the vote all the eu companies tried a price increase and were told to do one. The sterling has bounced back. Oh and plenty of UK companies have recently asked us to produce for them instead of Europe as our prices are much more competitive now and there is a swell for UK goods post brexit.

all the thing's said were promised straight after the vote.None have happened. Maybe when we finally leave we will have £350m a week spare for the nhs

The cost of EU imports increased due to the crashed pound, it’s not a subjective opinion, and Sterling hasn’t ‘bounced back’ vs the Euro either

Just something I've picked up from my locality.
ABP both in Hull and Immingham are investing millions of pounds in buying new state of the art container cranes.
Just a casual thought from me who doesn't do conspiracy theories but when you consider the vast amount of goods presently coming in from the EU will grind to a halt pretty soon why are they investing I wonder?
Whilst on the subject of imports it is a truly awe inspiring sight seeing thousands of BMW and Audi cars spewing out of the seagoing vessels on a daily basis.

No one had said imports will grind to
a halt though, they’ve said the lack
of a customs union means the process will be slower.

I deliver to businesses around Royal Portbury Dock every day, and its mainly cars they ship. You are right, the scale of it, up close, is staggering. The site can house up to 85000 cars/trucks/vans/JCBs at any one time, some coming in, some going out. Every single one needs driving off or on a ship, parked, registered, then later loaded onto a transporter for delivery to a dealer, or onward to Europe.

How they will deal with whatever the deal will be, must be a headache!

Are you seriously trying to suggest that the referendum result didn’t crash the pound?

again... remainers with their ludicrous over the top statements. It didn't crash... it dropped. It then stabilised and started to go back up. But of course the remain campaign didn't tell everyone that the economy would crash if we voted out
