Amazing how the Leave position has changed from “we’re in an amazing position to negotiate a great deal for Britain, with negligible negative economic effects” to “we’re happy walking away with no deal and accept that it will have disastrous short term effects but will possibly be beneficial in around 50 years”.

Even ardent Leave voters must see the con trick that’s happened here.
Got to say that line of 50 years is tremendous. Imagine if that was the tag line for the campaign. "Vote leave for a better economy in 2066"

He’s just being his usual lying self. When the absolutely inevitable happens next year and the economy takes a bath, then he can point back at that and talk absolute nads about a long term gain. He’s a snake oil salesman. I note he’s now opening a second Irish based fund for his investors. How are people actually falling for this?

Because they've invested so much of themselves in the belief that the EU is the boogeyman (or the Mafia as Joe has taken to calling them), so any suggestion that they've been mistaken is batted away.

When it all goes pear they’ll no doubt blame Cameron for calling the vote or the EU for sticking to exactly what they said from day 1. I doubt those who are absolutely entrenched will ever look in the mirror.

Only the Irish vote was on the Lisbon treaty, and the EU made amendments to it before the second vote which was won with a higher turnout and a 67% yes vote. No one held a gun to the head of voters and they backed it emphatically. Your lot seem to think that democracy somehow ended on June 23rd 2016.

Employment in the UK is at record highs because successive Governments have legalized zero-hours contracts, agency work and the rest. People now don't show up as unemployed even though they may not be working that much, or have any stability or security, or be able to actually make a living even with the benefits they are able to claim.

The result of this can be shown by today's story in the Mail - the Mail ffs - showing how many people are both employed and homeless.

In London....
