Climate scientist James Hansen said that Dyson "doesn't know what he's talking about… If he's going to wander into something with major consequences for humanity and other life on the planet, then he should first do his homework – which he obviously has not done on global warming."

Dyson replied that "[m]y objections to the global warming propaganda are not so much over the technical facts, about which I do not know much, but it's rather against the way those people behave and the kind of intolerance to criticism that a lot of them have.

Dyson was a member of the academic advisory council of the Global Warming Policy Foundation, a UK climate change denial lobbying group.

In May 2022, OpenDemocracy reported that tax filings in the US revealed that GWPF had taken money from US 'dark money' sources, including $620,259 from the Donors Trust between 2016-2020. The Donors Trust has in turn received significant funding from the Koch brothers. The group also received funding from the Sarah Scaife foundation, set up by the heir to an oil and banking dynasty.

I dont know mate, I dont listen to politicians about climate change, why would I care what they had to say?

If I want to know about science, I would listen to a scientist......................

What do I do? I recycle as much as I can, I walk whenever I can, avoid using the heating unless its necessary, but most of those I do for fitness or to save money.

I would assume my carbon footprint is quite small, last time I checked I wasnt a Coal power plant for example.

We are on a fixed plan till September next year, so its flip flops and boxer shorts with the heating set to crisp till then.

I went on some carbon literacy & climate change training with work.. Awful training, worst training I've ever done.

Complete waste of my time and I learned nothing.

I'm so appalled I'm taking all my plastic recycling and dumping in the local nature reserve. It's only fair.
