Enough is enough...

I'm sure it's a well written article, but essentially it's just another "Koeman Out" thread.

Whilst it may read as a "Koeman Out" thread, it's more about the underlying issue of Everton no longer believing and acting like the club we once used to be.

I've been blessed with having seen the 69/70 title winning team, the glory of the mid-80s and along the way, some terrific football. Gordon Lee was never rated but when he had Thomas and Latchford, that side played some exhilarating football. Big Joe had us ultra competitive if not the most cultured of teams.

Right now, we're not seeing anything exhilarating or competitive on the field and that just isn't acceptable any longer.

But it isn't just on the field, there appears to be a massive attitude problem prevalent within the club, whereby certain people appear to get away with accepting second best. We don't appear to have anything like the right mindset to be "a big club" again.

It's that frustration that prompted the article with Koeman being the conduit.

FFS.

Whats the point in sacking him now?

Seasons already over, we will get dicked by Chelsea and are already basically out the Europa, give him the FA cup and sack him when we get knocked out.
Why wait if that's the scenario?
put Joe , and Unsworth in at least they would select the right players, and formation!

To my way of thinking, it is gradually dawning that Moshiri is here to make money from Everton off the field rather than bring glory to us on it.

You can't have one without the other. Any new stadium will be half empty if we're in the Championship and no crunt will be strolling about with our top on either, in that scenario, unless they're one of those beauts that sits front row at the crucible.

All of the staff would have been watching that yesterday thinking..."aww shoite, we look awful again" and then we get a lucky peno at the end, which is all it was. Had that elbow not gone flying we would have lost the game or, at the very least, would have deserved to lose it.

Mate of mine was saying the other day "we'll get out of this" but he also said "we'll beat Brighton like". I didn't agree with him...twice.

If we see a huge effort by the players the next two games, do or die effort that we all expect every game, I'd be prepared to give it more time however if it's more of the same liquid football then Moshiri, if he is indeed only in this to make money, will need to make a business decision.

What would be decent would be a statement from the club admitting that this isn't good enough. FFS Everton. Every feckin' year this.

Despite the wailing on here I didn't think yesterdays performance was that bad. It was certainly an improvement on some of the absolute kelt we've been served up so far this season. I thought we were well worth a point at least.

Before yesterday I thought he was a dead man walking, nothing has really changed my mind on that but football is a fickle beast and he could yet turn this around. Despite the stick he takes from some on here, the bloke isn't a bad manager, and he could pull this out of the fire.

Sadly you can in today’s football.

The key is staying afloat in the cash cow that is the EPL.

Then you can happily tread water for twenty years, win nowt, sell out practically every league game and still have a waiting list for season tickets.

Just like EFC at the moment :(

And IMO that is the remit Moshiri has given Koeman.

Just stay in the top flight.

Avoid defeat in the “unexpected loss” games and you are doing swell Ron ;)

Lose the next 3 and we can kiss goodbye to the league cup, europa league and probably top 4. Whilst either of the 3 are a bit fanciful to achieve in a season of mass transition, I didn't expect us to be out of contention of all by October

Probably top 4? Did you seriously expect us to get close to the top 4 when the transfer window ended having lost our 25 goal a season striker which meant we were going to rely on a young lad who prior to last season had spent time at Stalybridge Celtic and Northampton Town on loan and had 1 goal in 11? That's now become 1 goal in 19.

As soon as the transfer window ended we waved goodbye to a chance at the top 6 in my opinion.

7th is well and truly still there for the taking but we won't get near 7th with this manager as things stand.

Now though, we’re having to endure failings against just about everybody, and with absolutely no disrespect to the likes of Burnley and Brighton, for a club of the magnitude, history and expectation of Everton to be losing and scraping a draw is totally unacceptable, totally.

The summer transfer window that began so brilliantly ultimately stumbled badly.
.

Agree with the vast majority of your post but wanted to challenge this. It means absolutely nothing in the day and age. No young player cares about history, the media don't care, and it has no relevance to the success of Everton Football Club now. Leicester have done something Liverpool have failed to do in the Premier League era, and although Liverpool's fans may demand success based on their history, it has no relevance. Chelsea and Man City who had done very little of note in their 'history' before they got the money are now challenging for honours season in season out, because they have the resources and the players to do it.

I think the more important thing is that there was justified extra expectation due to showing progress last season, and then spending a lot of money on what we all expected to be some very good players. The fact that we had the best team in the country in 1915 or 1985 has no bearing on whether we can beat Brighton away.

Unfortunately it feels a bit like this at the moment......

..we need to ensure we avoid relegation. The season isn’t over.

If we lose many more league games he will be sacked, relegation might be what this fanbase needs if im totally honest, a wake up call almost.

People have no concept that we as a club are also rans, some fans have this idea that we matter on a global scale, we are a nothing club that hasnt won a single pot in 22 years, a few seasons in The Championship might weed out the less desireables.
