I've not seen him play much before tonight, but his natural reaction when making a run seemed to be to go wide and he doesn't look strong enough to lead the line so, I'm going to throw convention out of the window and agree with you.

Taking the lad is not a centre forward in the mould of Lukaku , dont think he actually done a lot wrong tonight.

Firing crosses in from the wings to him was meat & drink to their centre halves.

Not once did I see a quality ball played for him to run on to.Shows how much we need a real playmaker.

...probably too early to judge but I was disappointed with him last night. He didn't look the capable alternative to Lukaku that we've needed for so long.

He did no worse than I've seen Mirallas & Deulofeu do upfront on their own. He's not a lone striker. Looked useful a few times when he peeled off down the left, but if he says that's not his game, that's up to Koeman to sort out.
