Embarrassed

I hate all this look what Moyes has done for the club. We are not moving forward! We have become stagnant. We bottle cup games, we continually sit 6-9th depending on the season and even our substitutions are nailed on at 70 minutes and 85minutes for christ sake. Everything with the club is predictable, to our supporters, to the media and also our tactics to every other team. Fear is not a reason to sit still where we are. Sometimes you just have to have faith that ther are better things out there if only you are prepared to take a chance and go for it, something sadly David Moyes and his teams seem to have a fear of.[/QUOTE]

This.

We´ve been running to stand still for a number of seasons and are now i negative trend, brought about from predictability and staleness.

I believe the main issue is lack of investment, but that does not mean that this club should for one second tolerate a manager who´ll only stick around only if something better doesn´t come up.

If the grass is greener, he´s happy to go.

This club, although skint, is and will always be bigger than David Moyes.

They played like they needed it. Its about need. Fully expect them to get past B'burn or Millwall and get the Europa place for the final. Us on the other hand just went through the motions, not the gears. As a support we can and have tolorated some pretty bad experiences but saturdays humiliation at the hands of perenial relegation fodder goes beyond embarrassing. We were akin to a racehorse that instead of taking on that first jump and risking it all just layed down and invited the vet over to put us out of our misery.
Such a chronic lack of belief is a very worrying signal, and that no player stepped up personally and showed they gave a toss when all around them their team mates crumbled is beyond unforgivable.
Moyes was criticised by his senior players (Stubbs, Weir, Ferguson) for some of his training methods seven or eight years ago as he was simply running them into the ground with daily marathons - I'd flog this lot from lands end to John o'groats and back daily. They require punishing. Because they are responsible for punishing the support on saturday.
Bring that whip hand down hard Mr Moyes.

Fans knee-jerk. It's what we do. If any of the players (or managers) think they can move to a club like Chelsea and get away from that then they are massively deluded. It's just part of the game for better or more probably for worse. You can't have the positive passion of those "grand Goodison nights" without the "what are you lot playing at" booing when we're losing badly to a club like Wigan. Could we (as fans) do better? Probably. Just like the players and coaching staff could have done better.

I can't really be embarrassed by our fans behaving just like every other set of fans in pretty much every other sport.

We should have ripped seats up and lashed them at Moyes and co
Careful ... that's considered a huge sign of respect and appreciation for great work in Japan. Don't want to send the wrong message.

I have seen some poor displays in my time and Saturday was another for the pile.

Through thick and thin, I find myself still in love with Everton despite the deep frustrations caused by over-achieving/under-achieving.

I am embarresed by the result and perfomance. Big yes. The rest of it, the board and manager etc, that is just part of the ongoing soap.

Fans have a right to show disappoinment as much as they do appreciation. The club is the fans.
I love most of the fans as well, by the way.

I haven't read the full post. I stopped at embarrassed.

The thing is it shows who's bothered and who's not.

I would never boo any player while they are playing for Everton (Fallaini came close on Saturday) but that doesn't mean that I am any less bothered than someone who boos and hurls abuse.

I actually thought booing on Saturday was probably justified although I didn't join in. I just think your comment is nonsense.

I was told them tossers on I t v were nearly wanking ,think they expected a shock result

Regulars watching might not think it that much of a shock. We have beaten Oldham and Reading. Painted a false picture of how poor we have been for 2 months now. Some said we were due to thrash somebody, others would say we had this coming.

All part of a day in the life of a football fan!
