Pakistani's make up 2.7% of the population. Goes without saying white males make up the majority of individual rapes. Gang grooming is FAR less common, and exponentially more prevalent in Pakistani males in the UK.

264 people convicted of sexual grooming offences since 2005 (bearing in mind these offences have been happening for decades), 222 (84%) were Pakistani.

It's not 'far-right' or 'racist' to note the race of the perpetrators when the overwhelming majority are of a single demographic.

Fact is, there isn't good enough data existing to project things like this. Compiling a single set of core data relating to child sex offences is one of the recommendations of the Jay report.

Did you actually read the article from one of the experts leading the investigation?

It is routine (for better or worse) for police and the legal system to report age/ethnicity/sex for convicts/perpetrators; that's not really at issue.

To me the larger umbrella issue is child sexual-exploitation and child sexual abuse. But those on Twitter/X and elsewhere semantically highlight "grooming gangs" which allows them to conveniently focus on a single demographic segment, in this case Pakistanis, and which all-too-easily ties into people's racist predilections for this group. More simply, some bad-faith actors on Twitter/X and elsewhere have made all sorts of xenophobic claims, and now are making specific claims about Pakistanis regarding this issue--do you think they are actually concerned with child sexual-exploitation/abuse on the whole (they certainly don't tweet regarding the tragic sexual child-exploitation that occurs in the UK every day), or just doing this for political gain with others who share the same racist implicit bias about Pakistanis and other Muslims? The hypocrisy of now pretending to care about this issue when the crimes are "conveniently" perpetrated by a non-white group is a bit transparent. As the article points out, Musk could actually use X to moderate online child exploitation/abuse/pornography but has instead fought it at every turn.

If people think Pakistanis are the major threat to children in terms of child sexual abuse in the UK, they most definitely have a racist bias toward Pakistanis because they sure aren't looking at the facts of who actually perpetrates these horrific crimes on a daily basis.

I'd have taken the pish personally and asked how many of the grooming gang scumbags were allegedly wearing a dress for a laugh at the time.

The account in question is not worth legitimate recourse, it's slime.

In addition, would add, the stats are horrific with regards to sexual assaults ending in criminal convictions. One in 4 women have been subject to some form of sexual violence since the age of 16.

For all the attention these heroes focus on Pakistani grooming gangs, these wider kind of stats are never mentioned. Wonder why that is.

It’s racism in plain sight.

I did yes. Have you read the investigation? A sample of 30 victims from Bristol, Durham, St Helens, Swansea, Tower Hamlets and Warwickshire - none from Oldham, Rotherham, Rochdale, Derby as these all had independent investigations already.

Poor or non-existent data collection made it “impossible to know whether any particular ethnic group is over-represented as perpetrators of child sexual exploitation by networks”. This is from the 6 case study areas. The opposite, as we all know is the case in the worst affected areas.

The inquiry found there were “extensive failures” in the way child sexual exploitation by criminal gangs was tackled, with police and authorities potentially downplaying the scale of abuse over concerns about negative publicity. We know Imam's and community leaders we're asked by Police on how best to review the situation regarding the extensive targeting of primarily white teenage girls.

The Police have openly admitted they neglected their duties for fear of appearing racist.

People are quite obviously putting 2+2 together.

It's not mentioned mate, because it's an entirely different subject.

sexual violence against women perpetuated by men? I bet all these lot also attend rape awareness marches etc.
It’s perfectly obvious what’s happening here, and it does not involve any kind of empathy towards the victims.

As opposed to systemic organised grooming of underage girls? Yes, they're entirely different subjects.
