Trump was banned from Twitter in January 2020 after fomenting an insurrection.

What’s going to happen this time, if Trump loses, and the Twitter owner is spreading and amplifying election steal misinformation to his 200m followers, and has the ability to push fake election steal tweets to all it’s users?

We’ve just seen in the uk, how misinformation on Twitter lit the fire which led to widespread riots.

Musk is going to promote and give credence to every conspiracy out there about election legitimacy, and Twitter is going to be swamped with misinformation. I think US democracy is going to be pushed beyond breaking point.

I would like to believe that, but I have my doubts, and it will be on a state-by-state basis. Most of the conflicts will be at polling centers in certain states, like Georgia and parts of Pennsylvania etc. Governors have the ability to call out the state national guard, but the president can also do so in extreme cases.
Luckily, in the case of DC, the national guard is under federal control (Biden) so could be called out quickly if there is another hillbilly revolution based on a lie fomented by a rapist. Trump didn't call out the national guard during J6, despite pleas to do so.
