Having jibbed twitter a little while ago and deleting my account, I’ve noticed now, that when I click on a twitter link posted in here, I can no longer see the tweet and replies via the browser version. Just get a standard sign up page.

Same. Never had an account but would occasionally like to browse. Guessing a lot of people were the same. Definitely means ads are reaching less people.
I was an early adopter. Remember when it was quite a nice place. Obviously went down the pan long before Musk got there, but it became unbearable after that.

Not so sure. It is a mess of a platform at the moment. Loads at work looked at it, and said nah.
It just seems to me, a massive data grab for AI. Bit shady as well in that you can't delete your account, as it is linked to your Instagram.

It really is bad. It just looks like a load of social media influencers and personal trainers all spouting nonsense.
It might develop into something, but for now, Musk shouldn't be worried. It sucks, hard.

It’s defo more algorithm driven, like insta and TikTok but suspect it will change to be more chronological and based on followers, if preferred, as insta ended up giving the option for.
I’ve signed up to have a nose, but am generally uninterested in social media these days, as it will inevitably turn into a cesspit as twitter and Facebook did before I jibbed them (never used insta).
If it gets only 20% of instagram users to sign up, that’s already more than twitter. That’s a big competitor in the text-based social media space.
Musk and Zuckerberg are both awful for what they allow their massively influential social media platforms to be complicit in, but Musk seems more explicitly racist-adjacent, whereas Zuckerberg seems to be an AI-version of a human if you commanded it to generate milquetoast corporate-pleasantries 24/7.
Neither of them seem even nearly-human.
Amazing that the culture war wants to force people to back this billionaire or that billionaire.

Hope this fight that was mentioned between the two goons was a real thing and not me not being arsed to pay attention when I was tired.
