Or seemingly any research really. It was pretty poor stuff, especially given both the magnitude of the interview (for someone with his brief) and the inevitable push back he'd receive to his questions.
I think he was surprised by his interview request being a) accepted b) for it being that day. But if you know anything about Musk you know he is impulsive so he should never have requested an interview without being fully briefed.Or seemingly any research really. Its funny how much people care about one person here
I can perhaps forgive him not knowing some of the BBC specific policies, but to not know any of the organisations or research that have shown a rise in hate speech on the platform just says that he doesn't know the area he's reporting on, which when you're going into an interview inquiring about those very things is unforgivable. Similarly, on the redundancy question, while the absolute numbers are obviously a big thing, I'd have thought the way in which Musk did it was far more damaging, and there has been so much coverage of that. How could he not be able to trip those off his tongue?I think he was surprised by his interview request being a) accepted b) for it being that day. Can you imagine what Medhi Hassan would have done with the same opportunity, even despite not being a tech reporter?I can perhaps forgive him not knowing some of the BBC specific policies, but to not know any of the organisations or research that have shown a rise in hate speech on the platform just says that he doesn't know the area he's reporting on, which when you're going into an interview inquiring about those very things is unforgivable. If a tech reporter covering Silicon Valley doesn't know these things then they're not good at their job imo.
You do feel he'll look back on the interview with a whole lot of regret. Can you imagine what Medhi Hassan would have done with the same opportunity, even despite not being a tech reporter?
To think if he operated in the background like he did a decade or so ago he would of been able to continued to achieve his masquerade of being an innovator instead breaking the facade revealing what a extremely privileged , unscrupulous ,naive, corny unoriginal dork who steals people's memes, basks in archaic and niche internet humor that wasn't even funny in 2005 . It shows when you're surrounded by incels who worship you as some profound tech guru it warps how you process the world, makes it impossible to entertain any criticism without being a petulant baby. He basically obtained twitter on a lark because his right wing pals at the Babylon bee couldn't post the one joke they always do about someone's identity impulsively initiated the process tried to waffle on the deal but was forced to complete it due to obligations he made with twitter lol now he just engages with misogynistic losers who have never interacted with a woman in real life beyond a computer screen because he's bitter about his trans daughter severing contact with him. Such a joke hes one of wealthiest men in the world and he spends his days on a waning website cracking sophomoric nerdy ass jokes. Shows despite all his status and wealth he'll always be a narcissistic insecure muppet
