Someone sent me this thread, I knew nothing about the guy before but read the thread and it was interesting, it is relevant to my comments about Trudeau.

Be the first time he has made good on one of his humanitarian PR stunts. After his weird PR move in the Thai cave tragedy and his failure to produce any equipment of any use at all to hospitals for covid.

He take other people's ideas and takes credit for his engineers work.

His own ideas are crazy. The hyperloop thing for a start. He doesn't even have permission to build it even if it ever does work. The whole Mars thing is nonsense.

He is also not responsible for the tech in his tesla batteries nor is he responsible for the designs of his cars.

I have met him several times and know many tech guys and girls that work or who have worked with him. Many in the tech and engineering fields hate him. He abuses his staff and takes credit for their work.

Currently he is being investigated for insider trading so its no surprise he is giving to charity and helping Ukraine all of a sudden.

Several malls and shopping areas around here have to decide to install tesla charging stations or regular ones and so in some cases certain vehicles can't be charged.

Funny how he has created an adapter you can purchase but his machines don't have a second socket for non tesla.

The amount of money people are willing to part with for one of his cars despite the long wait and if you need a service tve long drive finding a location to have it done plus the wait time.

In terms of quality the rest of the market will catch up and overtake them, they are too big not to. But, to stick with your apple analogy the cult of celebrity/branding around him and tesla (i loathe using this great mans name in association with musk), will likely remove all objectivity in enough consumers
