Transfer Rumour El Bilal Touré

We don't need a back up, we need our new first choice striker. Why would we want a back up to someone with lots of injuries problems?

I'm not annoyed because we didn't see EBT, but the longer it goes without signing strikers, the more annoyed I am. This is an ongoing problem since the sale of Richarlison.
My main worry is the EBT interest came about at least 6 weeks ago from that journo on twitter!
Its took that long to finally resolve the issue, how long will it take to sort out the plan b?

It will be a different transfer with different issues so will take a different amount of time. There is no correct answer as none of us have a clue what is going on.

It's a fair point but none of us know. All we do know is it is 18 days till we play meaningful football and we need two forwards before that game.

We have time to be prepared, but not a huge amount of time either. It will go in really quickly.

If we have alternatives then we need to be decisive and get the deals done. If we don't have alternatives then it's absolutely not good enough to have spent a month on a main target only to miss out and not know what to do.

All transfers have some sort of complication, look at United, took them weeks to get both Mount and Onana over the line, Arsenal the same with Rice, Chelsea are finding the same issues getting Caicedo done

You'd also hope that we're not focusing all of our time and effort in resolving the forward option without also trying to resolve the other deficiencies in the squad.

While it's the priority, we need to be getting a few players in within the next two or three weeks, which requires multitasking.

Think Bobble or Benj or both said at the time of the news we hadn't bid and it was only agents playing games, so I'd think the actual bid has been more "recent"

I'm sure there are multiple people working and multiple things, hopefully without bill involved.

Given the ongoing MSP stuff, financial investigations, stadium funding etc I don't see anything other than a horrifically difficult task for the recruitment team.
