Gotta love this forum when people who just learned a player existed 3 or 4 weeks ago become irate at the possibility of not signing the previously unknown striker.

Or that we should have signed them quickly before any other team finds out.

I get it that we are a bit of a mess , but we can't just think that we can get who tf we like. If the player is half decent, then its obvious that other teams will be interested too.

We don't know nothing yet. For all we know, he might actually choose us. If not, then we will see if in fact we do have other targets

Look this lad will probably turn out good but there’s 2 facts about this transfer.

1. He’d be mad to choose us over Atalanta and I’d somewhat question why if he did choose us.

2. The lad isn’t the finished article at all and there’s probably better ways for us to spend £35m at the minute if we can. Iheanacho + Gnonto + a depth CB for the same money is clearly the better option for us right now even if Toure came good given the rest of our squad.

All in all he may still sign for us but I think it’ll be the classic case of Everton trying to sign a player we were never gonna get. Again the lad was bought for €6m and scored 7 goals last year, he might score 30 this year but truly no one can tell. I really don’t think this is really the make or break transfer for us, but that’s maybe just my opinion, I frankly had never heard of the lad before we were linked.

I never get too wound up about not getting a player just from knowing he'd probably play crap once here and leave me disappointed anyhow. Hopefully he comes, if not c'est la vie.

Think it’s been actually rumoured, who knows if it real or not, that Doucoure has been heavily in his ear trying to get him to come here. Both play for Mali so it certainly makes sense.

If we did end up getting him on Doucoure’s recommendation as well that’s just another dot on Lampard’s list of failures after bombing him out of the squad last year.
