effective use of bily

His defensive game doesn't bother me at all, he's not even that lazy, he's not a workhorse, but he covers enough ground. His body language and laid back style makes him look lazier than he is, and yes, he does always look knackered, but again, I think alot of this is to do with his body language, he looks like he's about to fall asleep half the time. He could be a bit more aware at times but I think regular football, week in week out, would help him here.

Not every wide player is like Pienaar, and to a lesser extent Donovan, they are two of the hardest working players around in that position, Pienaar covers more ground than anyone in our team, Bilya's going to fall short going head to head with him in this area. Alot of players would. Osman and Arteta have been criticised for similar things when playing wide right, neither of them are lazy. I think we need to be looking at the right back's we are using more than anything.

I'd much rather see him expressing himself and demanding the ball more, that's what we need to get out of him. I'd say wide right is definitely the most likely position for him at present. Playing him centrally would be interesting but it's a non starter, Moyes has never mentioned anything about him playing there and Bilya doesn't consider that his natural position either.

we all have been watching him for some time now,
and although there have been moments of pure brilliance, good assists and even better goals.

I was hoping for more, or is it he just isn't a wide player in premiership conditions, always looking tired and not tracking back when expected.

In a more central role I think he would flourish and even become stiff competition for Arteta, or more so than Cahill in that roaming role behind a lone striker, with two quick wingers and support from arteta and fellaini behind his vision and passing ability could tear apart defences, and his goal tally would go through the roof.

but out wide, well I think we will be having more discussions about his performances and or lack of them always finishing with "but what a goal"

whats your say??

HE'S NOT A WIDE PLAYER, NEVER HAS BEEN AND NEVER WILL BE!!!!!!!!!!!

and my point is?????

this is what I'm trying to say, I'd play him in the cahill role, I wouldn't choose bily over cahill, and I wouldn't choose cahill over bily. I'd switch them about both have different strengths and weaknesses, cahill can ghost pop up and get a goal, bily,,, well manu saw on a replay what bily can do, in that attacking midfield role, both have the ability to get something from nothing, turning a game on it's head,

He is a central player, who aften in his career was playing out wide before (just like many players similar to him is doing these days), of course playing wide and playing as winger it's totally two different things in current football, but that's why Everton system should suit him, as Moyes doesn't want his wide players to hug the touchline. It's not surprised that Moyes likes Donovan, as LD has a rare skill of being able to cut in from right side, despite being right footed.

But you would probably need Graeme Sharp to say it during the broadcast, as he looks like as the only person you would listen to (as it can be seen with "Anichebe is lazy tag" he uses and you follow him blindly with that, just because he is an Everton legend and Everton legend can't be wrong, despite being stuck in totally different football than we currently are watching). And you are not the only one here.

Btw, I just can't understand what makes Sharp so different comparing to rest of the horrible pundits in England? His opinion are just outdated like from the other ones, with Chris Waddle's being a positivie exception here, but he wasn't an English footballer in style in reality, despite being English.
