I like him too, but appointing him would just be another instance of the bloke down the road getting the job.

They need to scour the globe for the next manager and come up with an appointment that is really seen as the absolute best we could have got in the circumstances, no stone unturned.

That doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a recognised name, in fact, I think we are suited as a club to the opposite, but at least go out and conduct the most thorough search process we can.

The next manager will have to come from a major league, and a club with players from around the world.

Dyche and Howe both have the advantage of knowing the Premier League well. But they have no experience of playing in Europe or managing abroad.

I'm not surprised we are finding it very difficult to identify the perfect manager.

No way. Should hire a manager based on their ability to manage a team to trophies and success. Not because they're English, young, a nice guy, support Everton etc. If he was 58 year old Eduardo Haowo, none of you would want him.

Come on lads. Which European team looking for trophies brings in Eddie Howe as manager?

We are not the attractive proposition some like to think we are. So most likely we will have to nab a young manager and hope he is the one who could step into the small merry go ground that Guardiola Mourinho Conte and others operate in. Thus take us with them. Otherwise we will have to wait for the new ground to be that kind of proposition, just like City.

German clubs don’t hesitate and constantly appointing young managers from within or lower leagues/smaller clubs. Look at Nagelsmann, Tuchel, Herrlich, Tedesco or Stoger.

And they’re doing just fine in domestic League and in Europe.

Howe managed his team very well yesterday. He was obliged to make an early change by injury, but made an early tactical change.

BBC Sport; "The hosts fell behind after only five minutes when Shaqiri, who had an earlier shot cleared off the line, was left unmarked to glance in a header for the opening goal and there was further bad news for the Cherries when Steve Cook went off injured after only 13 minutes. That led to Howe making a tactical change as he replaced a defender with a forward, with King coming on and Bournemouth moving to a 4-4-2 formation."

The goals came from two substitutes, King and Mousset.

No, it would be another sign of no ambition

How does appointing an ambitious up and coming manager showing no ambition? Everyone has to start somewhere and like i have said before, nobody really knows how a manager will do until they're in the position. We are not getting a Simeone especially after this year, nothing wrong with Howe.

Contrasting fortunes;

The Cherries are unbeaten in seven Premier League games (won four, drew three), their longest ever run without a loss in the competition.

Burnley have gone nine Premier League games without a victory (D5 L4), their longest winless run since November 2014 (10 games).

However, Burnley did fight back to get a draw against Manchester City yesterday, and they are still five points ahead of Bournemouth - and Everton too.

A talented manager no doubt. If he took the Everton job though this squad would be laughing before he even got through the door. They wouldn’t respect him at all. We need s horrible ruthless snide to come in and dismantle this pathetic boys club.

My worry about Howe is he will be too young and inexperienced to have the confidence to tell the club to get shut of Walsh, we need someone who can instantly get respect and get that idiot out of the club
