ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

If Rom ends up going and we get £55 mil+ for him I wouldn't be against Benteke coming in for £25 mil, in the right system he's a good striker and would be shocked if we could find better without European football to offer.

Would also be great if he had a point to prove against the RS and done the business for us.

I would. That's £25 million too much

25 would be to much right now, he not proved he over his injury

No chance, at Villa he was a fantastic striker that looked every bit as good as Rom. At Liverpool he's played in a completely wrong set up (same as Rom last season with his back always to goal).

If someone could name me a better forward who would be happy to join a team that probably won't have European football I would like to hear it.

Benteke and Batshuyai coming in for £40 mil with us still having £15-20 million spare change+ the whole new TV deal would be good business. Although I would much rather we offered Rom massive wages to stay put.

He's hardly setting the world alight now as it is. Looks a complete waste of £32.5 million.

Because he doesn't suit Klopps pressing and counter system. A quick paced sturridge type striker does hence why they look more effective with Firmino operating that role (games against city and arsenal).

Benteke has never ever impressed me. Ever.

I wouldn't pay anywhere near £25 million for him. Plus he's had a major injury and snails can run faster than him now.

He was very effective in villa's system (we should know that more than ayone) Deloufou whipping balls in would have him scoring a fair few. The problem is if Rom was to leave theirs very few top strikers out there, hell even CL teams like Utd and Chelsea haven't got 25+ goal a season strikers, which is why people are in for a shock of who we can actually attract in without even europa league football/big wages to offer.

His injury record in the past 6 months speaks for itself mate.

In the right system he would flourish ie Deloufou whipping balls into the box.
To some extent I agree with you that he could be effective, but I would be in no way willing to pay anything near £25m for him.

Just because those buffoons paid £32.5m for him doesn't mean cutting £7.5m off that fee is in any way, shape or form a good bit of business.

I'd probably begrudgingly pay £15m for him however that's still a bit hefty as he's really only a pretty effective one trick pony.

If you lump the ball in the air then it's goals galore, and he's okay at balls to his feet in the box, yet he lacks little pace or any type of ball control.

While he may work when Delboy or Baines whipping the ball into the box, I don't think he'd work too well with Barkley slipping balls in.
