ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

So just to get things straight, when the PL goes belly up...then should their APL status as they see it start to slide because of poor offsides, OGs, beachballs etc, its at that stage that the Special Dispensation Committee comes into being to save the day for them ?

Mate, they won it 3 times in one season not that long ago. Keep up.

Then they beat Real Madrid away by only letting one goal in.

You have that backwards. The one nil defeat in the Bernabeu was a capitulation, a scar across the face of the beautiful child that is LFC and the reason why Brendan had to walk alone. The home game at Anfield where Ronaldo ragged them all over the place was when they almost won it.

I've never actually checked that out properly before but they're actually serious. They say they don't include Spurs because they draw too many games so can't be taken seriously as title contenders, yet they out themselves in it even though they've only gone close to winning it once in the last 25 years.

Absolutely bizarre lol

Mate from that thread is the funniest post ever

"It is a quirk of the APLT that it is less of an indicator for teams who are unlikely to win the league. Spurs have been playing to a decentish top four standard but they draw too many games to make a title challenge.

At home they have four wins and four draws. Away they have just two wins and another four draws. And yet they seem to be playing pretty much their best team every week, and have no obvious slump in form, which suggests that they are playing at their level and aren't likely to improve dramatically.

They are a very tough side to beat, no question, but they still do not have the habit of winning that marks out potential champions. Dropping eight points in eight home games is just not going to get the job done, especially when you are not picking up the wins on the road."

Don't think anyone responded to him yet and likely won't, Liverpool this season have drawn 2 and lost 2 of 7 home games, so actually already dropped 10 points in a game less at home than Spurs have, they are seriously blind to how stupid they are

Oh yeah they have also won the same amount of games as the rs as well, but obviously the rs have to be taken more seriously as spurs draw too many games, it's much better to have lost to Palace, West Ham and 'smirk' Newcastle

Record this season

Rodgers - played 8, won 3, drew 3, lost 2 = 12 points (scored 8, conceded 10, 3 clean sheets, failed to score in 2) lost to West Ham and Man United
Klopp - played 7, won 3, drew 2, lost 2 = 11 points (scored 11, conceded 7, 2 clean sheets, failed to score in 2) lost to Palace and Newcastle

Long may this Klopp miraculous revolution keep going this way really. Over the course of the season they should earn about 2 points more

Hahaha they're mouth breathing simpletons.

We should celebrate them as neighbours, they make us look sound by comparison.

RAWK lolol

Re: Newcastle United 2-0 Liverpool FT

Time to look ahead to West Brom. Hopefully those players that didn't play as well as usual today can contribute to a thrashing of some sorts, perhaps 5-0. And from there, it'll be plain sailing.

Credit to Newcaste, the pressed for 90 minutes in a way which normally isn't possible but probably they saved all their energy so far this season for this game.

Does anyone know if the pitch was waterlogged? It seemed almost every pass was bogged down in mud no matter how hard they were hitting it.

West Brom should be very [Poor language removed] scared, because I hope our team and our manager are [Poor language removed] pissed off with today's result.

Yup. The boys are in for a hard week from Jurgen and are going to take it out on either Sion or Pulis's boys.

Chance missed to close the gap on our title rivals.

Ah well we could have gone just 3 points behind leaders it makes it even more frustrating. [Poor language removed] happens doesn't it.

HahahahahahahahahahahaHahahahahahahahahahahaHahahahahahahahahahahaHahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahh...........I found that mildly amusing.....

I'm pretty sure that some of them would prefer to win the APLT than actually win a yanno 'real' trophy mate, Also not one of them so far has pointed out that them going absolute balls to the wall trying to hammer as many as they could past a Southampton who had already given up the game as lost the other day in the League Cup just may have been a big reason they looked utterly flat today against a Newcastle team that has been utterly terrible all season.

Of course those 5th and 6th goals that are in effect utterly pointless now allowed them to start dreaming of a title again, really wish we would have tried to score more past Boro instead of easing down in the game and saving ourselves for the important league game now :)
