Former Liverpool midfielder Stewart Downing has been the stand-out performer for the Hammers, and Rodgers admits he has regrets over the sale.
He said: 'Stewart is one that I didn't want to let go. He had a difficult start but on the second half of the season he was a regular. He's got a wonderful technique and is a good guy. It hasn't surprised me how well he has done.

Oh sure. Liverpool could have an arrangement with the player to sign him in the summer, but no registration of him to Liverpool could take place this window, with him still playing for Burnley until the end of the season.
