henderson can run run around a lot, but i still dont think it would make that much difference...

Sometimes just sometimes, he can be positive and as you say, generally he is energetic and that can help inspire others, if they lost that energy in the midfield...

I wonder if Rogers regrets casting Carroll out to the wilderness now?

I always loved that the reason for him going was because "He doesn't suit Roger's playing style"

They could do with a big lump for Gerrard to play long balls to at the moment, that's for sure lol

Funny you mention Carroll, I thought actually he played quite well last Saturday given his lack of game time so far this season.

Lets see when the players turn against brennerz
Their body language recently would suggest that they already have mate.

Tomorrow will be interesting, as they'll surely know that anything other than a win will heap even more pressure on the ailing Brent, so if they wanted to stick the boot in - a la Hodgson - then tomorrow is their perfect opportunity to get him a seat booked on the one way Boston express.

I think Rogers will last the season

The only way I think he'll end up getting the chop will be if he can't steady the ship and they're still near the bottom around Jan-Feb time. At that point, I can see FSG getting worried and turfing him out in favour of a stand in to the end of the season

I think they'll be mid table at worst by that point, and most likely significantly higher, so I can't see him getting sacked until at least the end of the season, if at all

I think the better players were far from impressed to be stuck on the bench for the Real Madrid game. I can imagine that Gerrard is a nasty bit of work behind the scenes, lots of whispering and moaning behind the manager's back, generally stirring things up because he thinks he is untouchable at that club.

The Yanks are only interested in attaining CL football, so if they make an early exit by not getting out of a relatively easy group and look to be cut adrift of a realistic shot at 4th in the PL, then I think they'll shoot him personally.

His wasting of the massive resources put at his disposal won't be sitting well with the Shermans either.

See the Dillema that FSG has with Rodgers is a very amusing one.

they cannot sack him for a bad run of form because he almost won them the league last year and exceeded their targets for the season. So that buys him time. However they cannot keep him if he proves that he isnt cut out for the job and last season was a fluke.

When you take into account the money he has wasted then he should be walking a fine line, but then at the same time the last time he wasted money they bought players behind his back.

they cant win, they sack the manager that almost won them the league and can scream (needed time) or they keep him and risk a massive drop in the league both financially through wasted money and league positions as their true position in the league is top 4. that is based on finishing there last year and the level of investment on the team.
