Will be interesting to see what Rodgers does over the next few weeks. Gerrard doesn't seem to have the legs any more to play more than weekly even in that defensive holding role (although i am sure he will roll back the years to score at least one against us in the derby)

His defensive midfield replacement Emre Can is out until mid October and Lucas doesn't seem to have found any form after his injuries. Another of his midfield options, Allen, is out for for a few weeks as well which leaves Gerrard & Henderson as his only real options.

Wouldn't be surprised if Henderson picks up a "knock" that rules him out of England duty especially after the row with Roy over Sturridge.
