Whatever ban he gets won't be Worldwide it'll just be International
I honestly can't see it mate. There will be more of this than just an International ban. The list of that this guy has for causing murder, just keeps getting longer. This being the third time now in the last 5 years he has done it. Its assault to you and i on the street or at work.

Can't see it myself mate, here's hoping though as the fume from kopites will be epic

Nah that was a domestic ban extended Worldwide - like Cantona's

They've never banned a player and then extended it beyond their competitions, barring some fella from the Stone Age who got a life ban for cutting himself with a razor making out he was struck by a missile
At the least I would expect the FA to extend FIFA's ban then.

This is all over the world. It's extended beyond football fans, or the British press. It's on network television in the US. Anything less than a way over the top punishment will make FIFA, or the FA, or Liverpool look week.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but I honestly can't see how he gets off lightly. I mean major corporations are mocking him on twitter.

All I'm hearing is psychologists and other "experts" coming forward with excuses for suarez's behaviour and I'm wondering if they can also justify his racism , cheating and numerous attempts to seriously injure his fellow professionals ! ? He's not a victim here he is just a bad loser in fact I'm surprised demba ba or Dwight gale didn't get a lovebite off the bucktooth freak (then again he's not fond of negrito's is he? Poor lad)

He's likely to be banned for the rest of this tournament and then 6-8 games on top I'd imagine, FIFA won't reduce it to domestic leagues as they'd be opening themselves up to legal action from Liverpool or who ever buys him this summer.

I'm no expert mate but I think he does this kind of stuff because he's a [Poor language removed] basically

More RAWK logic - http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=314801.msg12947544#msg12947544

(some of of this thread is fairly sensible so far but as ever):
"Suarez grew up with overbite. Probably got teased for it. Could easily have started biting people for teasing him. In such a context, I see no difference with an adult releasing his frustration by biting people with another releasing his frustration by punching or head butting."

Oh right, now you put it that way.

The thing that gets me is that he did it seemingly without provoaction

The defender didn't seem to do anything to him first

yea, it was funny hearing it on NPR this morning, I could imagine Henry driving in to work fuming! I think it will be a ban at international level and I can't see a move to Spain for him. The English press will savage him (sorry). I could actually see him taking some time out of the game as he won't want to play back in England.

The thing is though, is that if it does actually turn out to be an international ban, could his value increase ? One of the worlds better players, probably in line to be crowned ' world player of the year ', not involved in any international fixtures. Playing international games is demanding, with travelling back and too around the world. Not to mention the risk of your player getting injured whilst on international duty. He won't be involved in that and the Copa America etc....

Could his value increase because of his absence from the national scene ?
