ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

The thing is, I wouldn't mind anywhere near as much how good Liverpool were if it wasn't for Suarez. He is the biggest disgrace to football in the league easily, and this time 6 months ago the majority of Liverpool fans were unhappy with him and a fair few wanted him out. But now, since he's started slotting like it's against some under 12s, the way they have gladly accepted him back and fallen in love with the racist, diving, biting, stamping, general cheat is beyond me. How many offences does it take before a player loses the support of the clubs fans? I know, with absolutely no bias, that if Suarez played for Everton I would hate the man no matter how many he scored.

THIS! So much this.

Also, this recent Rodgers quote: "The whole profile of the club fits him perfectly." He's got that right; the snidey, foot-stamping, heel-raking, eye-gouging, hair-pulling, stomach-kicking scumbag of a sub-human is the perfect embodiment of so many things I detest about the RS. Still hope someone snaps him though. Have never wished that on a player in my life before! But rather he has it done to him than he injures or attacks someone else AGAIN. How the c**t has never received a red card in this country is beyond me...:@

You are spot on, but like all entertainment it's like wrestling. It's barely real in some senses. The faux outrage and selective memories of fans is what makes it all so hilarious.

no other club in the world would have stood by him and that is a fact right there. no matter how good he is, i'm glad he'll never pull on the royal blue of everton. he is a pefect fit for liverpool, he fits the same persona as other scum like gerrard, kuyt, thompson, aldridge, folwer etc.

This season Suarez has cut down on almost every negative aspect of his 'on field' personality.

Clearly someone has had a word about how it devalues him and makes him unattractive to quality suitors.

The fact that he has been able to control it so easily negates the 'excuse' of him being an impulsive 'winner' caught up in the moment of the game and 'losing control'.

Everything he does is premeditated.

Like a psychopath.

Also on the Echo link regarding Sturridge/Hodgson:

"Time to tell Hodgson to do one ! Stevie G not the same LFC player for us since Hodgson took over England."

So it's Hodgson's fault Gerrard got old?

Lovely comment there wondering if Everton ever had any 'glory days'.

Yes we were doing rather well until the deaths of 39 Italians - openly celebrated by the Kop with their SB banners.

Someone here got slated for calling Suarez a "Holocaust of a human being".

I prefer to call him a "Heysel of a human being".

No sooner had the press gone on about how Suarez 'is controlling himself' he cheated a penalty in the game against Argentina. You are right, that someone has had a word with him but it is easy to control yourself when things are going your way. At Hull last week he was having a go at a fair few of his team mates during the game. Wait until things go a bit pear shaped and see what he does. I don't think he has lost that 'win at all costs' mentality, it will resurface sometime.

in the next month when the limp to 3 defeats in 4 games, the january transfer window will be coming right around the corner, his eyes could easily roll. Think he'll stay to the end of the season myself, but if there's offers he'll be interested, regardless of what he said the other day. They may just get saved by the fact it's a world cup year.

I can sort of half understand the love they have for him regarding on the field snideyness (even the level he takes it to), on a lesser level we had it for Dunc and we stood by him on the larger part (apart from being totally deluded and realising what we had).

What I cannot fathom is they have never mentioned that he has done an interview with the Sun. When a red (during the derby) was going on about him being 'our snide' and 'I will always love him as long as he wears the red shirt' I asked 'even with the interview with the Sun' and there was no hesitation in saying yes. I could not go any further with such a high level of hypocrisy, I just shook my head and said 'Scumbag behaviour' and left it at that. This was also somebody who is old enough to remember it more than your average younger fan.

On another note, they could not comprehend that if somebody like Baines did what he has done I would want them out of the club and I would stand by that if it ever happened.

Am I the only one slightly impressed by their impressive forward line?

Reckon Suarez will eclipse bales fee, sadly.
