ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I can see why he's doing it right now, tbh: he can hear the engines revving up behind him of real, bona fide CL spot contenders and knows they're about to come roaring past his team and stay out in front of them. He's just getting his excuses in early.

It's his real fear that Bobby and his band of blues brothers will shortly be putting them in their place again.........

Wow.

The excuses tumbling out of Brent now are pretty hilarious:

-He's had hardly anything to spend so they have no depth of squad
-Decent players go elsewhere in transfer windows
-He's had to replace good players who wanted out
-What he has spent has been on potential for the future
-He works under constrictions at LFC answering to a transfer committee...but 'that's ok'

...if I were a Kopite right now huge alarm bells would be ringing very loudly.

The fact that he started with the same lame old excuses within minutes of the final whistle going at Hull, shows that he's a man under pressure.

He knows what's expected of him this season & Sunday showed exactly how far away he is from realistically delivering it.

He's a man who's getting his excuses in early, as he knows failure is inevitable & he's going to try & exit whilst maintaining as much of his bogus reputation as possible.

Watching him point the finger of blame around in a blind panic is hilarious & it's going to become a regular feature come the Christmas period, as their fixture list is horrendous.

Complicated song that - all one and two syllable words (apart from Liv-er-pool which I guess they can just about cope with). Also did anyone spot the London accents?

Brendan - Rodgers
Brendan - Rodgers

Brendan Rodgers Liverpool
we're on our way to glory
built the team like Shankley* did
Our ground's a lavatory...

He'll be managing some outfit like Sunderland in about 18 months, I reckon.

The feller has got by in the last 12 months by having Gerrard demand he ditch his filosofee of 'possession football' (in reality Joe Allen running round and passing to himself for ten minutes four times a game), and Luis Suarez's goals. He's a complete duffer as a manager and is about to be found out this season big time...and none of his boring homilies about 'trrrradition' and 'strrrrong family values' that the Kopites have let him rip with thus far will save him.

haha, bang right though.

The 'committee' signings of Sturridge & Coutinho gave him much needed respite last January, but his total lack of nous has been exposed on a number of occasions already this season. Even the kopites are starting to realise that he's a charlatan.

Who the hell is Tiago Ilori? Why did they spunk £7m+ on a centre half who has played 12 senior games of football in his career???

Mentalists.

The myth that they've spent no money is unreal.

Yet they honestly believe heart and soul that they've been short-changed by every owner over that period.

Mentalists.
