I think on the Talksport parody there is a clip of him saying "In order to be first you've got to train like you're second". I can't understand why even these clueless beauts think he's "saying all the right things". I was quietly confident this would go tits up before the season started and now I'm 90% sure it'll end in disaster and hilarity.
I know the RS are still being defiant as hell on the subject of BR but I think it could be a "darkest before the dawn" scenario with the fans' view of the Ulsterman in a week's time when they may well be out of the cup and could easily fail to win at Norwich as they have a couple of bad injuries to contend with. The defiance will gradually turn to scepticism, the penny will drop and then the real fun will start. Rodgers' quotes will be scrutinized by the country, the fans will start to call for his head, they'll try make him the new Hodgson and they'll become the laughing stock of the league. Again. It doesn't even have to be the next two games. Liverpool were comfortably top 6 and 13 points ahead of us midway through last season.
Perhaps a bold prediction, but I've seen enough to satisfy myself that there's nothing else but trouble in their path. I'm usually relatively pessimistic on the subject of these c*nts but there's something profoundly different about them now. Call me naive, but I think the last couple of years have seen this "deal with the devil" expire. They'd have spawned wins in the City, United and probably the Arsenal game in years gone by. Even last year I'd have expected them to win. Not this year though.
