An area yes. Tbh name a working class town or city where this isn't the case. That's what I mean when I say 'multi culturalism in it's current form has failed'. Multi culturalism involves intergration. However I do believe if they were westernised they wouldnt make such amazing kebabs. I've had a few in my time there. Lovely stuff.

I lived in Portugal in the late 80s and I loved it. I hung out with the 'natives' a lot. I loved them and they loved me.

Most of the English avoided them as they pursued their 'occupation' of the Algarve. I found their attitude a bit 'off' as WE were the 'foreigners' or 'guests'. WE were the ones to be 'tolerated'.

I learnt a helluva lot in a very short space of time - positives and negatives.

As long as there IS tolerance then I'm all for that kind of mind set. It's the way it should be. Anyone that comes to England or immigrates anywhere should be respectful of the natives and the culture. If I move abroad I will do exactly the same. But we're a soft touch in this country full stop. We can't even deport Osama Bin Laden's number one buddy because it would be against his human rights. Eastern Europeans come over purely to make a living out of stealing and conning old ladies. On the flip side my mates Indian boss- an educated man who was the manager of a convenience store- had his visa extension declined and has had to return to India with his wife and children. A decent person who had come over the correct way and was making a living for his family doing something productive and he gets sent home yet we have Abu Hamza and his band of merry men and all sorts from the Balkans causing nothing but trouble. This countries ****ed.

Which is wrong and should be widely condemned, yet if we do the same we are 'racist'.

No way was the Roman Empire the greatest empire of all time! They copied all their ideas from Greece, they had no genuine free thinkers and the people lived in an oppressive regime where people would 'go missing' all the time.

I'd sum it up as a worker ant empire, with no imagination and very poor dress sense.

But it was probably bigger than the British Empire in proportion to the amount of land discovered at the time and they invented loads of stuff that we still use today in some form. Plus all their Emperors had boss names.
