Reds managing director Ian Ayre said: "Both the club and player are shocked and disappointed at the severity of today's independent regulatory commission decision."

Really like ? Most people guessed it would be severe. But LFC claiming they are shocked suggests that they thought he was practically going to get away with it with a 3 game ban. Another nail in the coffin of their self-image as de gratist klub in ze werld. They could do themselves a massive favour and just condemn the player and his actions and take the medicine, but past performance indicates that they won't.

Liverpool Supporters Club chairman Richard Pedder said: "I don't think it's a shock, I think he deserves everything he gets.
"It's down to the club to tell him 'this is your last chance'. He won't leave the club [this summer]. They shouldn't have said anything and just accepted the ban. "With them releasing a statement, it's going to go on and on again and we want it closed. We haven't had enough but we're concerned. Nobody is bigger than the club."

That's more like it.

Luis Suarez should be "helped" rather than "hounded" in the wake of the recent biting incident, says his Liverpool team-mate Jamie Carragher.

FFS Carra lad he's a mental case.

This is Anfield:

"Did Luis deserve a ban? Yes.

Did he deserve ten games? No.

Will he win PFA Player of the Year? Probably."

Think you're in for a shock mate.

Aldo on 5 Live. "there is a camera following him at every game, looking for the smallest thing" "Liberpool have dealt with it admirably and deserve congratulations"

Honest.

...10 weeks off on full pay and he asks his employer to donate his fine to the Hillsborough fund. Notice he's not donating anything himself. That deluded club manage things so poorly. Well done to the Supporters Club Chairman, he must be a throw back to when they were run with moal standard.
