Talksport now. This fella is unbelievable.

'Punishing all liverpool fans'!!!

Dave - Ajax should have helped him.
Durham - They couldn't because you bought him!!

If they appeal, the ban will be doubled, points deducted and a massive fine to boot.

The FA spokesman will say - "We might have considered their case had s**t not been pushed through our letterboxes and bullets sent in the post. We do not negotiate with terrorists, respond meekly to death threats or cower when being accused of racism."

Probably.

LOL!

In the end, I think they could count themselves a little lucky with 10 games (they won't like).

Firstly, when you consider this is the second offence, with something as serious as what it is, it's a less than 50% increase on the previous ban.
Also when you consider he got 8 games last season for another serious incident, it shows an increment of about a game a time for each offence.
I would have said, a fairer reflection would have been, 7 games as a basic.
+50% for his previous bite=11.
+50% for the previous issues last season and it's the second time within just over a year he has had a major issue)
=17. And throw on top any additional they may have banned him for, for not shaking the hand last season which they didn't. When you tot everything up, it could have easily been pushing 20.

Also, you have to say, when you ballpark it at other players, it is somewhat laughable. So is the suggestion that Fergusan and Manchester United players get let off easily. Suarez will have had significantly less punishment (well under half) what say Rio Ferdinand got for missing a drug test. Or what Cantona got for Kung Fu Kicking someone who was abusing him. Ivanavic was not abusing Suarez.

For that ban, he has racially abused someone 16 times, refused to apologise, refused to shake his hand when he has been instructed too (nearly causing a "riot") and now in an unprovoked attack bitten someone. I have to say, I find his actions much more harmful than what either Ferdinand or Cantona did.

As a final aside, I am getting sick of the "dangerous tackles" nonsense. Even the most wayward of challenges bears some resemblence to a body motion expected by a football player. Players get injured, sometimes with poor challenges. Sometimes out of cowardice, malice, sometimes out of poor technique in a tackle, sometimes a player slips. This is completely different to a motion in biting, that has no resemblence to anything on a football pitch. It will be close to impossible to outlaw bad challenges, there are dozens of them a season. However, in my lifetime, I have only known of 3 incidents of biting in football, and two of them are from Suarez!

RAWK............

Just spoke to people in my office who are NOT football fans and they think it's ridiculous he has got 10 match ban. There is a black guy in here and he's actually quite upset that being racist is seen as not as bad as biting someone.

RAWK.............................

This sport is a joke. Really had enough. I just hate everything about it. 'Banter' is for idiots and all this phoney outrage can [Poor language removed] off. I really don't know why I bother. I hate this stupid sport so much.

Might have to completely cut it off soon. If it's possible. It's like a drug and I hate it.

It is just celebrity gossip for men now. I hate football.

Hah, I was wondering what on earth was happening after the incident when plenty of kopites were saying it was indefensible, saying any ban would be fully justified etc. Only took most of those a few days to show their true colours.
