They spout that without realising the facts, as they're the 3rd highest net spenders in the PL era, as well as being the 3rd highest total spenders. That's also the same when you look at just the last 10 years.

When they then resort to "yeah but it's the last 5 years when dem yanks bust us & dat", you can also point out that they've still got the 3rd highest gross spend during that period as well......
