Yep. I think it's because they've been so successfully inculcated in to David Brent's cult that they assume that as he (brent) has dropped Skrtel then it must automatically mean Skrtel is no longer up to the task. Despite forming one half of the 'best CB partnership in Europe' ust last season.
It's hardly breaking new ground to point this out but when you stop to think about it the scale of their delusion is truly awe inspiring.
You could ask any Liverpool Football Club fan to rate their players and it would go something like this:
Reina: Bit of a rocky spell but still one of the top 3 keepers in the league
Johnson: easily the best RB in the league, far better than rafael and zabaleta
Agger: One of the best CB's in premierships history.
Carra: Still one the best, his leadership is invaluable
Enrique: Solid, one of best pieces of business for the price paid.
Downing: Picking up now, will prove to be a baragaion after Rodgers has finished with him
Lucas: The best DM in the world
Gerrard: The greatest midfielder in the Premiership era. Still a colossus.
Sterling: The best young winger around, far better than Zaha.
Suarez: Simply the best player in the league
Sturridge: Brilliant, his partnership with Suarez will be feared throughout Europe.
Coutinho: Already looking like a bargain.
Allen: Still a good player if you want to retain possession.
Henderson: Still really young, David Brent will get the best out of him.
They literally rate all their players as being in the top 3 or 5 in the league. At the very least.
WE say something like " I think these days you could make a case for Baines being Enlgand's first choice LB" and they can barely contain their bitterness at such an 'insane' or 'deluded' opinion.

This season Johnson has been miles better than Walker mate.
I don't think Johnson is that bad of a fullback, he's nowhere near being the best in the league but i'd rather have him than most in this league.
Johnson is a hell of an attacker, like. I'd only have Zabaleta over him from the whole league.
