"It is all about the materials. I am not a magician. I will be able to improve players – that is my work and I have confidence in that. If I look at the first six months, I believe there has been improvement in a lot of the players. I will be able to rinse everything that I possibly can out of them, but the bottom line is about talent. If you don't initially have that then it can be difficult. That is also why I was brought in here, because we will get talents and we will try to maximise what we can out of players."You look at Jordan Henderson, Stewart Downing and José Enrique since the start of the season and we have added value back to them. Absolutely. That is the job of the manager and the coach, as well as winning games. My job is to improve players in every aspect of their game and that is something we will look to do because we don't have the resources of the top clubs who are out there paying big money. We won't have that. So we have to find the difference through coaching."

He's got Gerrard playing two yard passes across the park all day. Even now GBH can swing a game when he's up for it. Rodgers has effectively placed a ball and chain around his ankles. If there's been a more criminal misuse of a player this season I haven't seen it.

This is the reason Sahin got shipped out, the RS believe GBH wouldn't move out of his own position to accommodate Sahin.

"Nothing borderline about it, he's been totally mis-treated jn here. As for at Liverpool, the manager obviously wants to lose games, so he can get sacked and get paid off. If he only he had the good sense to listen to the breadth of football knowledge that is RAWK Liverpool would never lose"

The gift that never stops.

That bit is bloody marvellous.

Football management by committee. And by committee I mean, gang of raving f*ckwit lunatics.

I get the impression that Stevie Me doesnt buy Rodgers as a manager. He looks bored at his team talks in that silly documentary and on the pitch hes been hoofing 60 yard balls to attacks, which is totally against this passing mentality Rodgers has.

Id say about 5 to 6 goals scored by the rat have been running on to long balls, and that most of GBHs assists are direct launches from the half way line.

I get that impression too. To be fair, it's not surprising - Brendan Rodgers is the definition of a cheesy youth team coach.
