They signed them both at the same time for the money.

The kopites version was that he was signed to play alongside Torres but easy to say that after he has already gone I suppose.

I just mean that when you compare the two clubs, they seem to scout and find the right striker for their needs. When we do that in general we struggle so badly as proven so far. That isn't a criticism of tosun, he has really impressed me so far but he isn't the star striker that them lot seem to find.

It's just bloody fortunate that their scouts are only striker based so they keep buying crap for the rest of the team!

Should be 50. His first tonight was probably one of a few with his right foot ( I sat on my arse coz it was on his right). Honestly he hasn't done that much in terms of outright world class skill but just seems to be there at the right time ( a skill in itself). Don't think we will beat Citeh but would rather face them than Real or Juve as they are arl arses in terms of getting a soft free kick and killing the game. If Citeh beat us thrir lack of experience ( cheating) will do for them. Don't see us winning the league for decades unless some angry second cousin of citeh's owner buys us to spite him. I never criticise any teams for how they set up against us. I criticise our management and players for not working out a way to beat those systems. Considering we have the pace of Mane and Salah we never use a quick goal kick to put the ball in the space behind the opposition full backs for those two to rum onto and drag the centre halves out from the middle. As for Pep and Josie, the style of football that Guardiolas teams play is better to watch. Both great managers with great records but I prefer the way Gaurdiolas teams style.

Carroll was the big ticket replacement for Torres.

They hit lucky with Suarez instead.
