I wouldn't particularly disagree but the article doesn't exactly go in hard on either the fans nor those fund raising . It could easily use harsher language to describe events or those involved , even take an editorial position .
It's violence in a footy stadium for which people have been imprisoned , in this particular story at least the echo doesn't for example use this quote “the worst disorder Greater Manchester Police has seen inside a football stadium in 18 years”.
Here's the kind of language it uses when talking about a fight between an Evertonian and a Newcastle fan "This is the clash between football hooligans that led to two
Everton fans being banned from matches." , " The shocking footage captures the moment violence flared in a pub" and The article uses the word "yob". I've looked but hooligan and yob don't seek to feature in that article and I'll be honest I don't think it's a mistake . It's that paper pandering to its audience .
