ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Did anyone hear Thompson on the highlights reel when Coutinho scored? I mean, he's being paid to do a job not scream like a banshee when Liverpool score. Totally unprofessional.

Both could have trophies though...
True. An FA Cup won't make much difference to Arsenal season though. Europa win would obviously be huge for Man U, although not much difference for them when signing players, as they have their name and money.

Aside from Chelsea, I don't think any team is too strong. Chelsea have a good core and money to strengthen. The other teams though, very catchable. City need to spend a lot of money. Arsenal are in a really weird place. Man United do not seem to have a plan, they just buy players and hope it works. Tottenham are bottlers, as seen yesterday, again. Liverpool play so much better against better teams (Unbeaten against top seven this season). I hope they don't get Champions League as I can see them going far in it. They're a very weird team.

Hopefully we have a good summer, because those teams aren't a million miles away.

Lollol
Didn't those idiots sign Benteke from Villa in the first place because he used to score against them all the time?! I truly wouldn't be surprised to see them attempt to re-sign him the utter clowns!:hayee:

Liverpool 1-2 Crystal Palace

Posted at18:49
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp speaking to Sky Sports: "I had to say a few words to the boys. I know what everyone is saying, that we have to win it, do this and that. Crystal Palace are a good side but we dominated the game, that was clear. We had very good moments. It is not easy to create chance and chance and chance.

“Today it was a defeat and makes sense for me to say a few words. We were not at our best. We tried everything - changing systems - but it didn’t work that well because we had a bit of nerves. There are games to play and we will be ready."

We've had the wind, officials against them, injuries etc., now it's 'a bit of nerves'. To play the way Klopp wants them to play over the season, he has to have 3 different teams. They looked knackered and had no zip about their play with Coutinho and Firminho anonymous the second half.

Their whole game rests on Klopps kick and rush tactics against the big sides (which in fairness work well) then just praying Coutinho bails them out with some magic for every side from 8th downwards. This result has been coming as they were poor against Burnley Stoke and WBA but rode their luck.

And?

I agree they probably will end up ahead of United and seal 4th, but that's more to do with the manager plaiting sawdust.

This is as weak a first team squad as they've had for years. Lallana and Henderosn out principally, but did you see who they brought off the bench and did you know who they were? I didn't.

Their bench is weak for sure, but luckily for them it's filled with young players, rather than aging/totally useless ones. Much easier to sell a prospect, than a total waste of space. They got 15,000,000!!! for Ibe!!!! Crazy! Their big problem is no alternative for Mane. They are so slow without him.

Also they will be in Europe next season, and I think Klopp already admitted earlier this season that he left the squad a bit thin, so he will be looking to improve starting eleven and also bulk the squad. They seem to have signed Robertson from Hull, which would be a really good signing for them, especially for just 8,000,000.

I think Arsenal and Man U are the vulnerable teams next season. Man U have no plan, they just sign players and throw them together (also Jose's infamous second season syndrome). If they do not win Europa and don't come fourth...could collapse really quick. Arsenal are obviously in a crazy situation.
