Agreed. He deserves to feel a country's scorn. However, why inconvenience local businesses? Even if they didn't fulfil the order, why inconvenience them on a busy bank holiday Sunday night? Even the owner of the pub is facing a twitter witch-hunt, despite doing the right thing and throwing the attention seeking twit out once he became aware of the twit.
With the landlord, people wanted to join the mob without knowing the facts. I guess now it's could publicity for him.
This twitter mob justice thing leaves me a little uneasy, why are people joining the crowd? Do they feel strongly about it or is just to feel apart of something and get a dozen or so retweets?
People where praising themselves for their 'work' lauding it as a victory for justice, well in terms of the last few months getting this attention seeker arrested is not a victory at all.
This was an extreme example of the twitter mob at work because the fella involved was a genuine loon. Other recent examples include that Chelsea lawyer who went on a rant about scousers after they lost 3-1 to Liverpool and our very own Fanta scruff.
The lawyer lost his job and someone found out where Fanta scruff worked and went to bother him. Is that really necessary?
Jon Ronson talks about being publicly shamed and how male victims have their jobs targeted in an attempt to get some some sacked and as a resulted emasculated.
Anyway...
Kopites are gobshites.
