Just had a little read on RAWK, this post took my eye :

"Just like to bring up the broadcast figures for the final week of the season:

Sunderland v Everton (Sky Sports 1 - 19:00 programme start (19:45 kick off): 695,000
Liverpool v Chelsea (Sky Sports 2 - 19:55 programme start (20:00 kick off): 809,000

lmao.gif

We still got more viewers in a nothing game than their poxy small club playing a side who were deep in a relegation fight"

A prize to whoever spots the mistake.

:coffee::coffee::coffee:
We get called bitter and small time and yet they bring up sky viewing figures as a way to prove they are better weird gimps please dont say it was mad max

It is actually weirder than that.

As in a Super Duper Liverpool/Chelsea Sky game only got just north of 100000 folk tuning in than a Sunderland home match.

I finally spotted the mistake

To be fair I think it was harder supporting us when I was growing up. I was born in 1970. They won the league and the European Cup every blooming year, and we won nothing until I was nearly 14. Merciless ribbing, not just from their fans, but from Emlyn Hughes and Phil Thompson as well!!! I was a hero to stay a blue lol
Same as me. School was a nightmare. Even the glory days had us losing 3 finals to them so heartbreak and pain was still there!!

The thing that came to my mind on that inane 'viewing figures' thing was that it seemed to indicate the viewing figures given were for the start of the programme. Which for our game was 45 min before kick off. Theirs five minutes.

No wonder they had more if that was the case...
