Yanks board meeting. " could do with putting ticket prices up to £65 lids.. Don't think it will go down well like ?"

Smart yank " we could put the price up to £77 mate, then they will fume abar it, and then we could drop it to the £65 we really want.. But they will think that their fume actually worked like !! "

WTF is David James on about. Klopp's got to be made up with that hahahahaha who pays that absolute moron. As if they're not going to be able to put out a competitive side against a giant like West Ham after spending half a billion. Another great result for the genius as he takes them to an FA Cup exit.

you lost me at that bit right there ^^^

As a lifelong Trade Unionist I can tell you that choosing to stay until the end of a football match rather than walk out well before the end is in no way, shape or form scabbism in the "classical sense of the word".

Or in any other sense of the word.

Scabbism is the Union of Democratic Mineworkers in Nottingham circa 1985.

Or on the picket lines at Wapping around the same time.

Or at any industrial dispute in this country where people's liveliehoods said were put at risk or in some cases destroyed by scab labour going in and doing the work of striking employees.

To compare people deciding to sit and enjoy what remained of a a football match instead of walking out with scab behaviour is just plain ridiculous.

(Though by the end, I suspect most of the buggers that stayed wished they had walked out with the Superkopites :pint2:)

I suppose the difference is that there was no mandate for the call to boycott. Some might say a similar process emerged with the unions in the 80's (I wouldn't).

I think to not support a call out when people are trying to keep prices down has similarities to such behaviour. It is obviously not as life and death as industrial issues and people's jobs. I have heard a lot of kopites try to defend them in the name of "unity". I see no point in that, to me it's quite a "I'm alright jack" attitude.

The team that ended that game cost well in excess of 100 million. Far more than West Ham for that matter. Some reserve team that.
