....the money continues to pour on the Pool to win the league, they have gone from 100-1 a few weeks ago to best priced 10-1 now. Amazing drop in price.
The bookies love the kopites, as they make a mint out of the deluded bells virtually every season.

I was informed this morning that "Top 4 is virtually a certainty" for dem red men now.

....to be fair they have played main competitors away from home and have had some amazing results, particularly away. I know Paddy Power 'loves the kopites' because I've heard him say failed bets on the Reds accounts for a significant % of their profits. Let's hope it's the same this season.

Their home form has been crap though.

3 wins - 2 results decided by poor decisions (Bournemouth and Swansea) and a 3-2 win over an awful Villa.
2 draws and 2 defeats.

They've grabbed headlines with the big wins at Chelsea and City, but I'd fancy both to do them at the pit. If you don;t allow them space, they're a very ordinary side.

but those are the games they've actually been doing well in this season, regardless of the manager.

Palace and Swansea for the most part have both handled the system surprisingly well in the last few week
Didn't both those games come after the Europa league games?

Klopp has tended to pick strong teams in the EL and then plays the same teams on the sunday,it would be hard to maintain that intense pressing game twice in 72 hours.

God help them when they have to play in the champions league next season then....

Bit of a fallacy for me the high press. Look at the Southampton game, Saints were in control when Caulker decided to show Sturridge, who had run wide, onto his strongest foot and then go ahead from a kick from the keepers hands. Second half they hit them on the break and quite rightly so. The media are trying to sell this as some sort of innovative coaching, well two of the best exponents of it played in this city years back, Sharp and Rush

Liverpool fans braced for months of futile optimism

LIVERPOOL fans are gearing themselves up for six months of ultimately pointless optimism.

With the return of Daniel Sturridge and Jurgen Klopp in charge, there is a new mood of confidence that the team can clinch the title, only not quite.

Liverpool fan Nathan Muir said: “I really believe that this season we can do it, but won’t do it.
“I can see us going all the way, three points clear with two games to go, only to lose to Watford at home after Mignolet throws the ball into his own net with no player near him.
“This is what Liverpool Football Club is all about. Passion. Heart. Desire. The shirt. Wanting it more than the other team. Wanting it so much you become paralysed with fear at the thought of not getting it.”
Muir added: “We’re like a man who’s desperate to impress the woman of his dreams on a date, and it’s all going brilliantly until he vomits on her pudding.”

Jordan Henderson has been told there is no medical cure for the heel injury that forced him to miss three months of Liverpool’s season and that he will have to manage the pain for the foreseeable future.

The Liverpool captain made his first appearance under Jürgen Klopp last weekend having been sidelined since August with the heel condition plantar fasciitis in his left foot. His rehabilitation was hindered when he broke a metatarsal in his right foot during training a month later.

Liverpool’s medical staff consulted counterparts at the Royal Ballet and with the Australia cricket team, because of the prevalence of the problem among dancers and fast bowlers, and also the Boston Red Sox in the search for a solution. Henderson, who was in acute pain during Liverpool’s end-of-season drubbing at Stoke City in May, also visited a specialist in New Jersey for treatment to his nervous system.

The England international, however, has been informed there is no immediate cure to a problem that Liverpool believe arose from a chronic overload on the heel over several years. Henderson had not had an extended summer break for more than a decade before the pain erupted towards the end of last season. Liverpool’s medical department has discounted the theory that Henderson’s gait is responsible, an issue aired in one of Sir Alex Ferguson’s bookswhen explaining his doubts over signing the midfielder for Manchester United.

Nothing much would get past Fergie, I bet he also saw that Henderson wasn't good enough for a CL side.

Has everybody seen the alternative FA cup where they have won it a record 100 consecutive times and have even won it again this season even before they enter the competiion.

There is also the alternative World Cup and guess what, they have won every single one of those as well.

They have also got the most gold medals ever won in the alternative Olympics and were heavily involved in the alternative operation to destroy the death star.
