It's a huge shame, because he seemed like a top bloke when he was at Swansea. Think he's just another victim of the Kopite machine, he's been sucked into this idea that he's in charge of an institution and one of the best clubs in der werld.
I still think he's a good manager, but he's got ideas way above his station.

He's much much worse than Dalglish, who was an exceptional player and won quite a few trophies as a manager. Rodgers is a self inflating balloon who will go 'pop' before the end of the season......

Well if it's only in there then that means someone has been giving them exclusives.
They actually need the polar opposite to what they got in Rodgers, they needed a fella that would arrive there and reset the clock at zero, informing them that what is in the past has no bearing on future success, and is in fact hindering any. Home truths about what he is inheriting etc etc.
Except what they actually got is a fella that is hopelessly out of his depth for what they EXPECT to achieve. Somehow he managed to buy himself some time with his soundbites, but he has told them everything they want to hear instead of piling in with the facts of the matter. Eventually, and it won't be long I reckon, he will be exposed, and that will be because he's making a few sows ears look like silk purses with his praise etc. and they will be his downfall.
Taking players that are in the championship and instilling a self belief that brings them together as a team, or doing the same thing with youth players is one thing but trying to do that and maintain a PL challenge however is not the way to do it, although he will have more chance with the young ones he's using than the arl arses in the squad.
It's like he's using his notes from Jose, little memo's asking him to work on this or that with someone, except he only has a dozen post it notes to work with. Unless he texts Jose for advice ? if he is then Jose is Popcorning him superbly.... "Brrrrrrrendan, you to me are like I was to Sir Bobby, of course I will help you," and as we all know, Jose only helps Jose.

A bull****ter, who's ended up in a job that far exceeds his experience & ability. A job that he's landed off the back of riding on the coat tails of the prior work done by Martinez & Sousa. When he tried to start from scratch he died on his arse & was sacked by Reading.
He's saying all the right things to placate the cult members at present & they're being duped by his bollocks about the system & giving him time. However, football is a results business & the early season patience will soon wear off if they don't start winning games. Once the first murmors of discontent start on the terraces, the old hands, no doubt lead by Stevie Me & Carra la, will start knifing him in the back from within. He'll go the way of Woy, no doubt about it, only this one will be a slower, more drawn out, painful end.
