It's funny how they're all getting dead excited because they saw Klopp having a drink in town.

It's like history repeating itself - anyone else remember Rodgers at Garlands shortly after his arrival?

Just in case anyone isn't aware the echo online has a countdown clock to klopp's first match .

A countdown clock on a newspapers website to a managers first game , nicely attached to a riveting story that could have been headlined 'bloke has bevy in Liverpool ' .

The editor can ask a thousand questions why we have no interest in the rag but he's had his answer over the last week . The RS & the echo a match made in heaven .

I don't know, there's a sincerity about him that I like, as if his corniness isn't a hollow facade in the same way as Fraudgers. Like he really is that sentimental.

My main concern stems from the Celta Vigo/Barca match I watched about two weeks back. You wouldn't have recognised Iago Aspas from the one that was at Liverpool, who was practically a posterboy for the failings of their "moneyball" system. He was quick, direct, purposeful and scored two great goals. It got me wondering. What if Liverpool have been buying good players all along, we just haven't been able to tell due to the cack-handed mismanagement of an uninspiring fraud who had no idea what he was doing? Klopp, if anything, will instill a work-rate that will, at the very least, liven up a team that has looked chronically flat for over a year.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's the end of the world, and I don't think they'll win the league or anything, but this manager will improve them. Enough reason to hope that he doesn't get any momentum and the dogs turn on him at the earliest opportunity as is their m.o.

Atsu was player of the tournament at the ANC. Just saying.
